Tim was appointed UKAEA’s Interim Chief Executive Officer in July 2025. His career highlights include serving as Chief Development Officer and Deputy CEO at UKAEA, as well as Chief Technology Officer and Director of Strategy, Communications & Business Development at UKAEA. He has also held the role of Executive Director for Business & Innovation at the Science & Technology Facilities Council, and serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus.
In addition, he was Chair of the Eureka Network, the world’s largest international business-to-business innovation network, and is a Non-Executive Director for several start-up technology companies. He received the ‘Innovation Sector Champion’ Award from AIRTO, the membership body for organisations operating in the UK’s innovation, research and technology sector, and is Chair of The Space Partnership Board.
