Kian is Managing Director at NUVIA, where he leads a business delivering Engineering Design and EPC projects, Decommissioning & Site Services, Industrial Services, Technical Services and Consulting. In addition, Kian represents NUVIA on the Kier-Nuvia JV Board of the ILIOS Consortium, which serves as Construction Partner of the STEP programme.
Kian joined the nuclear industry in 2013 where he held senior commercial roles in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s subsidiary, International Nuclear Services. He was responsible for the management of ex-BNFL reprocessing contracts with overseas utility organisations in Japan, Italy, Germany and Switzerland. This role also included involvement in Global Threat Reduction movements of material in support of the Us DoE and the NNSA.
Prior to this Kian started out in the Steel industry with Corus and then worked on strategic renewables projects for Tata Steel in the built environment. With over 20 years of experience in the nuclear, industrial and steel sectors, his career includes senior commercial leadership and operations management roles within major energy and heavy industry organisations in the United Kingdom.
