World Quality Week 2026: Quality Powering Performance

From 9 to 13 November 2026, organisations around the world will mark World Quality Week under the theme “Quality: Powering Performance.”

The theme highlights the role quality plays in delivering successful outcomes, supporting innovation and creating long-term value. Quality is about more than inspection, compliance or finding defects. It is about building confidence, improving performance and ensuring that programmes deliver against their objectives.

For the STEP programme, quality is fundamental to every stage of delivery. As we work to realise our ambition for a prototype fusion energy plant and a world-leading technology and business cluster, quality helps ensure that decisions are evidence-based, requirements are clearly understood, and risks are identified and addressed early.

A strong quality culture supports effective collaboration across design, engineering, supply chains and programme delivery. It encourages continuous improvement, shared learning and accountability, helping teams work efficiently and confidently towards common goals.

During World Quality Week, STEP is recognising the contribution that quality makes to programme performance and long-term success. By embedding quality into our processes, decisions and partnerships, we can help create the strong foundations needed to deliver our mission.
